This week, Violet's preschool had their Christmas party. They even had Santa come visit. And while Violet was apprehensive at first, she soon warmed up to tell the old man all the things she wished for. The kids got to exchange gifts and play games while the parents looked on with much amusement. This by far was one of the wildest parties I've been to in a long time. And I've got video to prove it:

Violet surprised Mommy and Daddy with some very special gifts that she made at preschool. Mommy got an awesomely decorated apron for all the cooking she does. And Daddy got is very own tool caddy (complete with paintbrushes and a screwdriver).

Nana also came over this week with gifts of her own. She had scoured the earth (and eBay) to find this doll house and accessories from past. The kids loved playing with this, even Owen got into rearranging the set up that Violet spent "hours" setting up to perfection.
Another activity that quickly became an enjoyable past time was grocery shopping. And while we never did those once-a-month trips and got carts-full of food. We would go on weekly trips. We typically went to Kroger, and as

I would like to say this was for the great deals and sales, I think it was for the kids size shopping carts that the ids just loved. Violet felt like such a big girl getting to push that little cart around and helping with the shopping. She knew almost exactly what we needed and even learned about comparing prices. Well, that's it for this week. Stay tuned for next week where we visit the ocean one week and the president the next.
